The competition is the first in which 888ladies invites budding chefs to submit their recipes as they vie to have their creation named Britain’s best. Two lucky participants will each win an IKEA kitchen worth £2000.
The Yum Factor competition, which runs from Tuesday 29th March " Friday 20th May 2025, allows the public to take part in a new community environment that reflects their interests in creating recipes and cooking. Participants can upload and share their original recipes on a dedicated interactive competition website, (yumfactor) as well as vote for their favourite recipes shared by others.
A panel of judges will decide which three of the top ten most voted for recipes will enter the final round Taste-Off. In the Taste-Off, a professional chef will cook the three recipes for a panel of cooking experts and an 888ladies representative. The participants that have submitted the two cooked recipes deemed the best will each win £2000 worth of IKEA vouchers to buy a brand new the runner up will be awarded £300 of bonus money into their 888ladies’ account.
In addition to the main prizes, anyone voting for recipes will be entered into a £25 bonus daily raffle. Plus, the 888ladies judging panel will, for the duration of the competition, award one recipe a week, according to various criteria, with a £25 bonus.
This inventive campaign is fun and personal giving contestants the chance to express their creativity in the kitchen.
