Many, if not all roulette strategies rely on mathematical equations, laws of probability or a formula based on the success of a well documented winning streak. One of the most popularly used roulette strategies found its creation from a scene in a James Bond movie.
Fleming's character is seen playing roulette in a very luxurious casino. Mr Bond proceeds to place three bets on the roulette table, and is seen to repeatedly win increasingly large sums of money.
As a result of this single scene, strategists and mathematicians have devised a simple yet effective roulette strategy that is designed to cover as much of the betting table as possible to maximize winning potential, using only the minimum of bets placed.
One of the most common bets used when implementing the James Bond Strategy is to place a bet on the 2nd 12 sector that covers the numbers 13 to 18, another bet is placed on the high numbers sector that covers numbers 19 through to 36, and a final bet placed on the ZERO. Looking at this bet in more detail, you have covered every number from 0-36 except for the numbers 1-12. You have in effect placed a bet on 2/3rds of the table with a substantial chance of either A) breaking even, or B) potentially winning as much as 5:1 on your 13-18 bet. There is also the chance that the Zero lands for a substantially larger windfall.

As with any game of chance it is possible that this strategy may or may not be profitable for short lengths of time. Although the strategy is sound in its logic, players using this strategy must always take into consideration that any game of chance has an element of good or bad luck involved.
